The India Tape is operated by Dzambhala Sphere LLP (“we”, “us” or “our”). This policy explains how we handle information when you visit theindiatape.com, communicate with us or use our services.
Information we collect
We may collect:
- technical information supplied automatically by your browser or our infrastructure, including IP address, device and browser type, requested pages, timestamps, referring pages and security events;
- information you choose to provide when contacting us, including your name, email address and message; and
- aggregated information about use of the site that does not directly identify an individual.
We do not ask for brokerage credentials, payment-card details or sensitive financial account information through this website.
How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, secure, maintain and improve the website;
- respond to enquiries and support requests;
- detect abuse, fraud, outages and technical problems;
- understand site performance and aggregate readership patterns; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our infrastructure may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for security, traffic management and core site operation. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate readership, including pages viewed, approximate location, device information and interaction data. Google may process this information on our behalf under its own service terms.
Analytics does not load unless you accept it. You can decline it or reopen Cookie preferences from the footer to withdraw your choice. We do not currently use advertising or behavioural-targeting cookies.
Service providers and transfers
We use service providers, including hosting, content-delivery, database, security and communications providers, to operate the site. These providers may process limited information on our behalf in India or other countries, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards. Our current infrastructure includes Cloudflare and Heroku.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights or safety, or in connection with a restructuring or transfer of the business. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including security, dispute-resolution and legal requirements. Retention periods vary by record type. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable rules, you may request access to or correction and deletion of your personal information, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or raise a grievance. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Children
The site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children.

Our reporting may link to stock exchanges, company filings and other third-party sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
